A small group of students and teachers from our college visited Petroskoi for 4 days in order to meet our friends in Petrovski College, study English with them, see Petroskoi around, visit some enterprises, do some shopping, eat good food and best of all - enjoy the wonderful spring in Petroskoi. We warmly thank all our hostesses for so nice a program, so warm a hospitality, so much of everything. Our group had an effective English lesson in how to prepare a presentation - thank you Julia, our good teacher with elegant pp-slides! I am glad we developed our co-operation some more steps: next schoolyear we are going to have workshops and some more visits to enterprises. I think one of our teachers (or maybe even more!) is very interested in having her language practice in Russian and her work placement in one of the enterprises we visited... It may be The Business Center at Hotel Severnaja or Karelian Resource Center or Petroskoi PostOffice...Let's hope our students, too, get interested in having their work placement in Petroskoi and in Nurmes as well. The students of business, management, tourism and cooking will be involved.
